Crystal Magpie

Carey's story of how Crystal Magpie finally came to be...  Truly home-based, this side business took off when I was out of work and my roomie began selling my jewelry off the kitchen table back in 2001.  By 2003 I'd acquired a partner in adventure, Pipster, obtained my busines license and tax ID, and sketched out a business plan.  Of course, Photography, Marketing, and Running a Website aren't my strong points, so please drop by our booth at Cranberryhill Mercantile in Sunnyvale, CA, or visit one of our upcoming shows to get the best view of our latest designs. 

Using PMC clays to make sterling silver and 14kt gold enhancers, I add a variety of semi-precious gems, painted beads, glass plus Swarovski crystals and pearls, to complete my glitzy designs.  Pipster and I have very different styles.  Focusing on jades, agates, onyx, turquoise, Swarovski crystals and pearls, Pipster's Whimzzie line creates pieces that are closer to the harmonies one finds in nature.  Creating a variety of anklets, necklaces, bracelets, watches, earrings, crosses and rosaries which fit our individual design esthetics, we design pieces that suit our personal preferences. 

Focusing on quality, we only use Sterling Silver, Brass, Niobium, 14kt Gold and other allergy-safe metals, and we make every effort to ensure that our fittings are nickel-free and skin-friendly for long-term wear and enjoyment.
